General Info

If you’re exploring new dining spots around Acworth, Broken Anchor Winery is one of those places that instantly feels welcoming the moment you walk in. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance-casual enough for a relaxed evening, yet polished enough to make dinner feel a bit special. Whether you’re stopping by after work or planning a laid-back night out, the setting fits comfortably into any plan.

One of the first things that stands out on the menu is how thoughtfully the starters are put together. The Bread & Olive Oil is simple, but it sets the tone with fresh flavors and quality ingredients. From there, the Bruschetta adds a bright, satisfying bite that pairs well with the overall vibe of the place. If you’re in the mood for something a little more indulgent, the Fried Pimento Balls with Bacon Jam are hard to overlook-crispy on the outside, rich and savory on the inside, and definitely a highlight worth sharing.

Moving into the main dishes, the Hamburger deserves a mention for its balance and flavor. It’s not overly complicated, but that’s exactly why it works. Everything feels intentional, from the seasoning to the way it’s presented. This kind of consistency makes the overall dining experience feel reliable, which is something many diners appreciate when checking reviews before visiting.

The services here add to the comfort factor. With onsite services that keep everything running smoothly, you can focus on enjoying your meal without distractions. Dinner service is especially enjoyable, with a relaxed pace that allows you to truly settle in. There’s also a free parking lot, which makes visiting much easier-no stress before you even step inside. If you’re bringing a furry friend along, dogs are allowed outside, making it a flexible option for casual outings.

And then there’s dessert. The “great dessert” reputation isn’t just a line-it genuinely feels like the perfect way to wrap up the meal. After a satisfying dinner, having something sweet that lives up to expectations rounds out the experience nicely.

Overall, this location stands out not just for its food but for how everything comes together-the menu, the services, and the atmosphere all align in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.

What customers say?

“ Had an awesome time at Broken Anchor Winery with the crew. Staff was super friendly, the wine was flowing, and the food was solid. We’re not from the area but always try to hit local spots when we travel and this place definitely delivered. Can’t wait to swing back through next time we’re in town. ”

“ We love this place! Owned and operated by a fellow veteran and they welcome and appreciate everyone. We love their bacon cheeseburger with their signature anchor sauce. What I love most about this place is the welcoming atmosphere. The owner is always there it seems and makes sure to say hey and thank to all of his patrons. They have lots of different events scheduled throughout the week, like trivia and comedy shows. We just joined their “Beer Experience” club, which is such a great idea. We are glad to have found this little gem in our community. ”

“ Driven by this place countless times and I am kicking myself for not stopping in sooner. GREAT place for a drink and some delicious bites. Shout out Emily and Evie for amazing service! Bonus points for being Veteran owned and operated. ”

“ Experienced Broken Anchor Winery for the first time with some friends this past Friday as well as a surprise visit from the my BIL and his wife from Indiana for my wife .. it was Elf Trivia Night and there were about 11-13 people in our party .. the adult beverages were very good along with most of the food with the exception of my Chicken Tenders as the first serving that came out from the kitchen was burnt and the replacement a little less burnt but tasted overcooked and very dry .. with that said, we would still be back as Josh who happened to be our server as well as the retired veteran owner was the differentiator in our experience with his establishment .. on a side note, my BIL who is a huge Bourbon connoisseur said that BAW has a fantastic Bourbon selection ”

“ Edit: Still keeping all of the stars, as I hope this was a one off. I placed a to go order today for bruschetta. At first I was told they were out. Okay, no big deal. Then the person said she’d check just to be sure, again no big deal. But she came back on the phone and said they did have it. So I placed my order. I just opened the box and I literally have toasted sandwich bread with the toppings. I’m disappointed because this is not bruschetta and I would have been okay not placing an order if they were out. First time visiting. Came with a friend to catch up on the week. The place is very clean and inviting. The music was not loud so we could actually hear each other. The service was excellent. We let it be known that this was our first time visiting and we were told all of the favorites and the events that take place. They had a few drink specials which we tried. I had whiskey and coke and it was strong and delicious. My friend had 3 margaritas so I assume they were good. I also tried the Khaleesi and although it was sweet, I enjoyed it and ordered another glass. The fried pimento balls were excellent. A nice surprise. The California chicken flatbread was great too. I had the Taco and Tequila wings. I didn’t enjoy the sauce as much but the wings were cooked well. I will definitely be back to try other items and to participate in some of the events. ”

“ We were looking for a special place to celebrate a birthday! Broken Anchor was perfect! Delicious craft cocktails, great range of draft and craft beers, and food/appetizers menu that looks and tastes "gourmet"! No surprises! Broken Anchor is a great night out! Enjoy! ”

“ LOVED it!!! Great local winery offering a full bar as well! Wine and whiskey flights available. Live Music on Fridays and Saturdays. Brunch on Sundays. And if you're still on the fence, I have two words for you : Drunken Brownies! Full disclosure, we had just eaten lunch so we didn't actually try them, we were focused on sampling their spectacular wines. BUT we'll be back, appetites at the ready!!! ”

“ Once again, Brunch on Sunday is full of menu surprises, easy dining, and a nice change of atmosphere and pace. Emily made sure everything was excellent, and responded to our frequent requests for something else. The red-jacketed dog with tricorn hat is my favorite btw! We epically enjoyed the BELT sandwich, and the grits are really phenomenal with a softer texture and amazing flavors, and if you want a starter I can recommend the bread and seasoned Olive Oil, and the rich tomato bisque soup. Relax, enjoy the pace, and check out the portraits. Great fun! Enjoy!!! ”
